Of the greatest importance in breeding a working farm bull mastiff, is temperament. A farmer works long hours, and therefore has no time to train a dog. Either the dog is bred to do the job, or it is useless. The ABM must be sensitive to correction as well as sensitive to a stranger's intentions. The ABM should be friendly to those who pose no threat. While a number of breeds posess examples of this sensitivity, the ABM is bred specifically for these traits. A number of protection breeds are bred for a hardness of temperament to withstand the rigors of formal training. 'sassin's temperament actually fits the profile of both types of programs. He is the cornerstone of the ABM.
The mastiff is "King Assassin of Hart", best known as 'sassin. Bred and trained in Germany, he worked a few months at FEDEX and a few years at Studio One "Bad Dawg Productions," in Memphis Tenn, named after him. He is currently working on my farm, where he gently protects the goats. No preditor has challenged his fighting ability on my farm, but I'm told, he has been challenged by man and beast, and they were no match. 'sassin is 140lbs working weight.
Whane and Jeannie Hart have agreed 'sassin is too important to the ongoing struggle of maintaing a line of working mastiffs. After years of research, the three of us agreed, 'sassin should be kept at Arkabutla Farm's Kennels to be bred only to the most suitible of females.
The Bulldog is a Kershner/JDJ AB, Knight of Fury, already more of a Bullmastiff than a Bulldog. The ABM is developed to hold down a man without serious injury, much like the original Game Keeper's Nightwatchdogs of England.
After 9 years of searching, I will have crossed the best mastiff with the most complimenting Bulldog I could find, to produce the f1 ABM. The breed is registered with the BBC under limited registration.
'sassin bites car tires flat, yet loves children and animals. This is no bandog program!!! The ABM is a powerful, inteligent, protector of farms and families against man or beast. This is a Bullmastiff rebuilding program.
