This page holds a solid record of what the site used to be like.
Most of the site was still text based, and the news was listed in a long column of content boxes.
Some of these content boxes were updated as time went on, so this archive is not in any way a definitive history of every update to this site.
Also, few were dated, so the exact time that each was posted cannot be measured. Updates are arranged in reverse chronological order.
Weekly reviews for movies, new and old, good and bad, will be posted in the blog section. Check back frequently. Have a great day. | Check back frequently...HA! Since when has anything on this site been frequent? This one kind of speaks for itself. Notice that I decided to start dating the news. |
I have the dates for the debates, which is the entire reason this site was created. As it turns out, I've missed about ninety percent of them so far, but the really important ones (Presidential) are still ahead, so it shouldn't be too bad. Two final democratic debates have been announced in May and June, but details are scarce. Presidential debates are to be televised on September 26 (Domestic Policy), October 7, and October 15 (Foreign Policy). A vice-presidential debate will take place on October 2 (Domestic and Foreign Policy). Have a good day everyone! | When I first began this site, I really did expect to cover the presidential debates. Up until that time, when I created the site, I really didn't care much for politics. What was done was going to be done, and nothing I could do would change it. I'm just one guy. When I changed my mindset, and decided to check in on it, I was under the impression that the debates were a much bigger deal than they really are, and I was pretty sure they would be advertised more than they ended up being. In short, I thought the debates would give candidates the peoples' votes. Soon, you will be able to read in my blog about why this is not true. I always seemed to miss the debates for one simply reason: I was not looking. And so, when I finally got around to doing some research, I was so excited that I wanted to put the information up on the site. |
Just a quick update about how much my name is on the web. It helps that I have one of the most unique screennames known to mankind, only being seen elsewhere in photo collections. The entire front page of the google search results is filled with my name. Also, for all you newgrounds junkies, I'm officially onboard the site, posting reviews and rating flash. Coming soon will be an entire branch of the site dedicated to it. We should see a bit more action then. | This is a really weird entry for me. You would think it would be obvious that "Aa6338" doesn't show up too often on the web, but for some reason I typed up a bulletin to inform people of that.
Also, why didn't I separate the news into two paragraphs, and let the Newgrounds thing be separate? |
Well mates, it looks as if I will not be able to get the live commentary imbedded on the site, but I will give you a link to a nice place that will accomodate me for the time.
| First of all, the title is pretty messed up. If I remember right, I was trying to keep the news up on the title page, but it was this weird mix of old news and new news, and I really don't think it worked very well. This refers to when I experimented with a chat room that I believed I could actually imbed into my site for at least a while. The new plan was to provide a link to the chat room itself, with myself being the only one allowed to actually put anything up. The funny thing about this entire deal was that the debate was canceled anyway. I even brought my dinner to the couch to watch it. Even funnier is that the debate had officially been canceled several days before. I believe in the "BIG NEWS!!!!" entry, I had originally typed a note about my mistake, and how I felt dumb about it, but edited it later because I was trying to keep the news on the home page, and it was no longer current. The second paragraph strikes me as amusing because of how I began it: "For whoever cares,". This is pretty accurate, because I'm not sure if anybody ever did care about that long American Idol blog entry. |
| Toxic Wastes has made history. Most recently, a commentator for the blog has come out of nowhere, and although results were mixed, the reader promises to return. Keep hanging in there, Blank Wall, because maybe someday, you will be replaced by a large, growing fan community, intent on checking every hour to find out if I updated the site. It's time to play the game. | I'm not sure if there is one good thing in this entire entry. No wonder my site was so unpopular! I'm not sure if that was my first visitor or not, honestly, and right now I'm leaning to the "not". I suppose I could go to the logs and check, but seriously, it's pointless. Even worse, I knew this person in real life, and so there really wasn't much point in deluding everybody else into thinking there was activity. (Wait, who is "everybody else"? This site is pretty dead in terms of hits.) The Blank Wall Joke really isn't funny after you've heard it so many times. And lastly, "It's time to play the game." not only refers to the classic horror film, but I actually added a widget version of Space Invaders, which was really the third time I did this adding of classic games to my site. It was really only a novelty, but it took up space, and really, what was the point? |
It's time for another useless page! THE BLOG! This page will be where you can see how I really feel about life, the universe, and everything! Enjoy the next classic game. | I think there might have been something, somewhere deep inside me that knew that "THE BLOG!" would not be another useless page. As this site has grown, my blog has basically become the highlight, at least in my opinion. Enjoy the next classic game...yup, I added in Tetris. I can only guess at what Advertising referred to. |
It sucks. So I'm going to give you a link to the forum generously provided by Proboards: Merry Christmas | Yes, there really was a Toxic Wastes forum. In fact, the forum actually sparked the website. In fact, if I remember correctly, only one guest ever got on it, and God only knows if that was me or not. Although this may be misleading, "Merry Christmas" does not mean that it was actually Christmas when I posted this. "Merry Christmas" was the link. |
Welcome to Toxic Wastes! Aa6338's official website, hosted by Freewebs! If you don't know me by now, you will very shortly. Or maybe not. This home page is to be used for me posting up news about the site's status, and updates. You probably won't even read it. In the meantime, It's time to play the game. | This was the first posting on the site, if I remember correctly. At time time, I believe I thought the home page would simply be bypassed for more interesting sections of the site, but, ironically, it seems to me as if the majority of the visitors simply go no further than the home page. The first classic game to be put up was Pacman, and for a long while, it was one of the most interesting things to do on the site. That's pretty sad. |
