Rory and Lorelai are sitting in chairs around the oven. The toaster pops. Lorelai gets up.
Lorelai: have you ever thought about your favorite flavor of pop-tarts?
Rory: oh yeah definitely, Cinnamon Role.
Lorelai: Cinnamon Role? Gross!
Rory giggles.
Rory: what about yours?
Lorelai: well it was strawberry, but then they started making the one that go in the freezer, and that is hard, cause I love the chocolate ones that go in the freezer.
Tristan comes in from the living room.
Lorelai: good morning gorgeous sleep well?
Tristan just glares at Lorelai. Rory and Lorelai laugh.
Rory: you want a pop-tart?
Tristan: sure.
Lorelai: oh he will talk to you but he wont talk to me?
Rory: that probably would be, because you put make-up on him.
Lorelai gasp.
Lorelai: what me?
Rory and Tristan stare at her.
Lorelai: snitch.
Rory: snitchyer!
Lorelai: that’s not even a word!
Rory: oh really, what about the word “thingamacallit”
Lorelai: that is so a word.
Rory: really can you show it to me in the dictionary?
Lorelai: I would but oh I don’t have a dictionary.
Rory gets up and goes in her room. She is gone for a minute, but then she comes back and she is holding a dictionary.
Rory: but I do, and I’ll get you right where it should be.
Rory flips to the T’s and flips a few pages.
Rory: here we are.
Lorelai grabs a pin, looks at Rory and grabs her dictionary.
Lorelai: OMG Look Rory, Norman Mailer.
Rory turns around. Lorelai jots something down in the dictionary.
Rory: where?
Tristan: Rory, there is no Norman Mailer.
Rory turns back around.
Rory: this new text era, has brought something on to your horizon hasn’t it?
Lorelai: yes it has, oh here it is.
Rory: can I see?
Lorelai shows it to her. Rory laughs, her phone rings, Rory goes over to it, and picks it up.
Rory: hello?
Logan : hey Ace.
Rory: Logan hey.
Rory goes into her room.
Lorelai (mockingly): Logan Hey!
Tristan laughs.
Lorelai: I knew I could get you to talk to me, or at least laugh at me.
There is a knock at the door.
Lorelai: coming.
Lorelai goes to the door.
Lorelai: hello?
Dean: hey Lorelai, I was wondering would you mind if I came over for some breakfast?
Lorelai: no not at all, but you know we don’t really eat until we get to Luke’s.
Dean: I know.
Lorelai: then of course, come in.
Lorelai and Dean head into the kitchen.
Dean: Tristan?
Tristan: hey Dean.
Dean: what are you still doing here? I thought you we’re suppose to be gone by now.
Tristan: I was but the plumbing went bad.
Dean: oh.
There is another knock.
Lorelai: I’ll get that.
Lorelai goes to the door.
Lorelai: hello?
Jess: hey Lorelai.
Lorelai: Jess? What are you doing here?
Jess: well Luke has gone completely crazy and kicked everyone out of the diner except for Kirk.
Lorelai: Kirk?
Jess: yeah, but I was wondering could I hang over here for a while?
Lorelai: oh yeah sure, come on in.
Lorelai and Jess come into the kitchen.
Dean: Jess?
Jess: that’s my name.
Dean: what are you doing here? Aren’t you suppose to be working?
Lorelai interrupts.
Lorelai: I’m going to go get ready to go eat at Luke’s.
Lorelai leaves.
Rory: so you will be coming out tonight on the Red eye?
Logan : yeah, I know it is late but at least we will still be together tomorrow for Christmas.
Rory: yeah.
Dean sticks his head into Rory’s room.
Dean: hey Rory, are you going to finish the rest of your pop-tart?
Rory: no I’ll just eat when we get to Luke’s.
Dean: good because Tristan just ate it.
Dean shuts the door.
Rory: sorry,
Logan : who was that?
Rory: oh that was Dean.
Logan : Dean?
Rory: yeah.
Logan : like the guy who dumped you at your Yale, male party?
Rory: yeah, why?
Jess sticks his head into Rory’s room.
Jess: hey Rory, do you have that book you said I could borrow?
Rory: yeah.
Rory sets her phone down on the bed and gets up and gets a book.
Rory: I think you will really like this, it reminded me a lot of you.
Jess: alright thanks.
Jess shuts the door.
Logan : who was that?
Rory: that was Jess.
Logan : what are you having a Stars Hollow Male party?
Rory: no Logan , it’s not like that I didn’t even know they we’re here until just now.
Logan : I’m sure.
Tristan sticks his head in.
Tristan: hey Rory, can I ride with you to Luke’s.
Dean shoves his head in.
Rory: sure I don’t care.
Tristan shuts the door.
Dean: Tristan you’re an ass.
Dean and Jess both go sit down in the living room.

Logan : who was that?
Rory: oh that was Tristan.
Logan : so you really are having a Stars Hollow Male party.
Rory: Logan no, I’m not.
Logan : whatever, my plane get in at 12: 45 a.m. see you then.
Logan hangs up the phone. Rory walks out of her room.
Rory: hey Tristan, you are going to have to find another ride, I’m not going to go work at Luke’s today sorry.
Rory walks back into her room. Dean and Jess come into the kitchen.
Jess: looks like your walking see you there.
Dean: that’s what you get.
Jess and Dean both leave again. Lorelai comes down from upstairs.
Lorelai: are you boys ready?
Dean: yep.
Lorelai: alright Jess, you go get Rory and Tristan, and I’ll get my purse, and we can go.
Jess: well I can go get Tristan but Rory said she doesn’t want to come.
Lorelai: what?
Jess: yeah that’s what she said.
Lorelai heads to Rory’s room, Lorelai opens the door.
Lorelai: hey why don’t you want to come?
Rory: I have a deadline to find an office Taylor is really on me about that, so I thought I would go ahead and look for a while today.
Lorelai: are you sure?
Rory: yeah and I might need to take a nap cause Logan ’s plane doesn’t get in until 12: 45 tonight.
Lorelai: alright, well we are going to go, but aren’t you, and Tristan suppose to go to lunch with your grandma today?
Rory: oh yeah I forgot, tell Tristan just to take my car.
Lorelai: okay. Bye.
Lorelai closes the door.
Tristan: is she going to come?
Lorelai: no, but she said just to take her car to go visit Emily today.
Tristan: is she positive?
Lorelai: yea.
Tristan: okay well I will see you at Luke’s then?
Lorelai: I guess so.
Everyone leaves. Rory sticks her head out of her room. She runs to the bathroom. She lies down on the floor with a towel and a picture of Logan .

Lorelai walks into Luke’s.
Lorelai: hey stud!
Luke: Sandy !
Lorelai laughs.
Lorelai: this is why I love you.
Lorelai and Luke kiss.
Luke: and why is that?
Lorelai: cause you get me.
Luke: what if I didn’t, would you still love me?
Lorelai: of course, cause when you said SANDY , I got chills, they’re multiplying and I’m loosing control.
Luke: the power is electrifying.
Mrs. Patty: you better shape up.
Kirk: uo, uo, uo,
Mrs. Patty: cause she needs a man.
Babette: and her heart is set on you.
Tristan looks around. Jess stares. Dean burst out laughing.
Tristan: is it just me, or is everyone mental here?
Dean: it isn’t just you.
Jess heads to the stairs.
Jess: so I see your letting people back in here.
Luke glares at Jess. Everyone sits down.
Luke: so? What are you doing tonight?
Lorelai: well me and Rory usually follow a traditional night, of games, eating, and talking.
Luke: oh okay.
Lorelai: but what did you have in mine?
Luke: well my sister and Tj, are having a party, and they invited us, but you have plans with Rory.
Lorelai: oh no I want to go, she will have Logan, Doyle, Tristan, and PARIS………
Luke: oh your not happy about her coming?
Lorelai: no I am I forgot to tell Rory to go get her at 2 from the airport.
Lorelai pulls out her phone. Luke points to the sign. Lorelai goes upstairs. She dials a few numbers and holds the phone up to her ear, she hangs up the phone. Jess comes out of his apartment.
Jess: hey?
Lorelai: hey.
Jess: umm…….
Lorelai: oh sorry, I’m trying to call Rory, but she isn’t answering.
Jess: do you want me to go over there?
Lorelai: yeah, that would be really great.
Jess: okay no problem.
Lorelai: tell her that she is suppose to go pick up Paris at 2.
Jess: okay.
Jess leaves. Lorelai watches him leave with a smile on her face.
Lorelai goes back downstairs.
Jess: hey I got to go check on Rory, catch you later.
Luke looks at him.
Luke: what is all that about?
Lorelai: one small step for America, but one big step for Lorelai and Jess’s friendship.
Luke: what? That is just crazy.
Lorelai: well he just went to tell Rory that she needs to go pick up Paris at 2.
Lorelai looks around.
Lorelai: where did Tristan and Dean go?
Luke: well after the musical show they booked it.
Lorelai: well then I have no reason to stay around.
Luke: you don’t.
Luke steps around the counter.
Lorelai: well there is one or two reasons.
Luke and Lorelai kiss.
Luke: really?
Lorelai: yeah.
Luke and Lorelai kiss.
Lorelai: well I have a meeting I have to get to.
Luke: have Sookie go to it.
Lorelai: she is on vacation.
Luke: alrighty then I will see you at home?
Lorelai: you got it Danny!
Luke: Sandy, Sandy, Sandy.
Lorelai heads for the door.
Lorelai: just so we clear the air your never going to live this Grease thing down.
Luke: I figured.
Lorelai: I love you.
Luke: I love you too.

Jess knocks on the door. There is no answer. Jess knocks again. There is still no answer. Jess tries the doorknob, it turns he walks into the house.
Jess: Rory?
Jess walks into the living room, he looks around. He heads to the kitchen ignoring the small bathroom.
Jess: Rory are you here?
Jess sticks his head into Rory’s room. He heads back to the front door but he looks into the small bathroom and sees Rory crying holding a picture of Logan. He goes over to the bathroom and kneels down. He runs his hands over his mouth.
Jess: you know that there is probably thousands of germs on that floor?
Rory starts to smile.
Jess: why would you pick this place to cry? I mean it isn’t even that cozy.
Rory giggles. Jess gives her his hand. Rory sits up.
Jess: what’s going on Rory?
Rory wipes her eyes.
Rory: it’s a long story.
Jess sits down.
Jess: well we have until 1.
Rory: why what happens at 1?
Jess: we need to leave to pick up Paris.
Rory: Paris….
Jess: I’m only here until 1.
Rory: Paris is comi……
Jess starts to get up.
Rory: okay, okay, okay, I’m talking.
Jess sits back down.

Lorelai walks into Luke’s.
Luke: what are you doing here?
Lorelai: I’m taking it that my beautiful face doesn’t bring you the feeling that it does many others?
Luke: no it does but you don’t usually come in at lunch.
Lorelai: well Sookie is out, and Michel is going physco on me, so I thought it would be best to get away from there.
Luke: well I agree, cause I think Michel could take you.
Lorelai: WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Luke: no.
Lorelai glares at Luke.
Lorelai: I’m working on my mind control is it working?
Luke: yes I totally think that you could take Michel.
Lorelai giggles excitedly.
Lorelai: so, what our we going to do?
Luke: well we have that Liz and Tj party tonight.
Lorelai: oh yeah, I totally forgot.
Luke: really?
Lorelai: no just seeing how you would react.
Luke: what am I going to do with you?
Lorelai: love me, and kiss me, and call me your own.
Luke: but you forgot to include feeding you, watering you, and cleaning up after you.
Lorelai: well if I put that in my ad, no one would want me.
Luke: I would.
Lorelai: really.
Luke and Lorelai kiss.

Rory and Jess are waiting outside of the airport for Paris. Rory sees Paris through the glass she waves at her. Paris walks outside followed by, Logan. Rory’s face turns worried.
Rory: hey I thought you weren’t suppose to get in until later on tonight.
Logan: yeah, well I thought I would surprise you. But you surprised me, what is he doing here.
Logan looks at Jess.
Rory: it’s along story.
Logan: and It’s a long car ride.
Rory: well I guess it’s not that long, Tristan took my car to go have lunch with my grandma and I had to go pick up Paris, and my mom had a meeting so I couldn’t use her car, so Jess just gave me a lift.
Logan: and you couldn’t ask just to use his car?
Rory: well, I never really thought……
Logan: no you just wanted an excuse to be able to ride with Jess.
Logan puts his stuff in the trunk and sits in the back seat. Paris, climbs in. Rory stares through the airport windows, then finally climbs in.

THAT NIGHT

Rory is sitting on the couch next to Paris. Logan is staring out the window. Tristan is up against the couch reading. Dean is in the kitchen with Jess. They are all sitting in silence. Lorelai and Luke come down from upstairs. Lorelai looks around.
Lorelai: okay who picked the quite game?
Rory smiles.
Lorelai: well gosh not even a giggle out of that.
Luke: I think we should be going.
Rory stands up. Lorelai and Luke head to the door.
Lorelai: bye, be good, and umm….. Find a new game cause this one obviously got old very fast.
Rory: have fun.
Luke and Lorelai leave. Rory goes back into the living room, she looks at Paris, then at Tristan. Tristan looks at her, then at his book. Rory glances at Logan, then she heads into the kitchen. Dean and Jess are talking.
Rory: what are you guys talking about?
Jess looks at Rory.
Jess: we’re talking about your newspaper.
Rory: oh well you need to find something else.
Dean: why? I think it’s great, The GrapeVine?
Rory: it will be great when I have an office, and finally can start business.
Jess: well Dean was just saying that he could totally find you some place.
Rory: really?
Dean: yeah I know a few people who could possibly pull a few strings.
Rory: oh my gosh that would be awesome.
Jess looks behind Rory into the living room.
Jess: well it looks like they are having a bunch of fun in there.
Rory: oh yeah bunches. (Rory looks) Well maybe we could possibly do some stuff to lighten the mood.
Jess: well I’m thinking that is going to be impossible since you showed up with me at the airport.
Rory: I guess so.
Rory sits down at the table.
Rory: wait I have an idea, why don’t we get a partner, and we have to do stuff with them.
Dean: Rory, I think that would be wrong.
Rory: no not in that way, like we have to build a snow man, and answer 1 question and take a silly picture?
Jess: I don’t see the harm in that.
Rory: okay well I’ll call Zach and Lane, and Doyle should be on his way. Oh and I’ll call the exchange student that is staying with Mrs. Kim again.
Jess: do you need us to do anything?
Rory: oh go into my room, and go to my desk and in one of the top drawers there should be some note cards and a box of pens bring those out here, and start putting stuff on them, but make them all the same.
Rory goes over to the phone and starts dialing. Jess and Dean go into Rory’s room. Jess opens one and Dean opens the other. Jess grabs the pens, and sees the note cards he grabs them, but a picture falls out from the middle of them. Jess picks it up, it is of him and Rory. Dean looks over at Jess.
Dean: did you find them?
Jess: oh yeah sorry lets go.
Dean and Jess leave Rory’s room, and go sit at the kitchen table, they start to write.

Lorelai: this is probably one of the only parties I’ve ever been at that nobody has talked to me.
Luke: well I could say the same thing.
Lorelai: Do you want to bail?
Luke: oh god yes, I thought you’d never ask.
Luke and Lorelai head for the door. The get to the door without anyone seeing them, they get into Luke’s truck.
Luke: what do you want to do?
Lorelai: well I could really go for some of your apple pie.
Luke: well that sounds good, except I’ll have to make it.
Lorelai: well we have all night.
Luke starts the truck and they leave.

Logan’s phone rings.
Logan: hello?
Honor (crying): Logan.
Logan: Honor what’s wrong?
Honor (crying): I lost the baby.
Logan: you what?
Honor (crying): I lost the baby.
Logan: how, when, how?
Honor (crying): I don’t know I just went to the doctors and they we’re looking for a heartbeat but they couldn’t find….couldn’t find…..could…..
Logan: Honor I’m so sorry, how did Josh take the news?
Honor (crying): I haven’t told him yet, you’re the first one to know.
Logan: I’m sorry, do you want me to come out, I can catch a red eye.
Honor (crying): no stay with Rory I’ll be fine.
Logan: are you sure?
Honor (crying): yeah I’m sure.
Logan: I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
Honor (crying): okay tomorrow.

A FEW HOURS LATER

Everyone is sitting outside drinking hot chocolate, Lane and Paris are quietly talking. Zach is talking to Jess, Jess is ignoring him, and watching Rory. Rory is watching Logan.
Lane: well Rory, I would have to say that your game idea, was a bust.
Rory: I couldn’t agree more.
Paris walks over to Doyle, they kiss. Lane smiles and walks over to Zach they kiss. Rory looks at Logan, then at her feet. Jess starts to walk over to her, but Logan goes over to Rory before he gets there.
Logan: hey.
Rory: hey.
Logan: I think we need to talk about some things, some things that we should have talked about before we took off like we did.
Rory shakes her head in agreement.
Logan: I don’t really thin……
Jess walks over.
Jess: Rory Gilmore, I love you!
