I am a heavy metal maniac. I love it all, the old school classics(AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest), the satanic black metalers (Mayham, Darkthrone, Enslaved), the blood and gore of death metal kings(Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Morbid Angel), the speed freak thrashers(Slayer, Pantera, Testament), and the cheesy and powerful rock that can only be power metal(Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Manowar). Metal is the heart of all of these shitty new or "nu" metal bands, of course they have taken the skeloton of metal and covered it with their meloncholy, depressed goth-ed out body. But nonetheless, without the godfathers of metal all you teeney boppers wouldn't have slipknot to go ape shit over. So, I suggest you fall to your knees and begin giving praise to those who rightfully deserve it. The kings of metal.
Manowar
Okay, these guys more or less coined the name "Kings of Metal", and dubbed themselves with the title. So, I see no reason not to start with them. I have to give credit where credit it due, I suppose.
