|
| This synth mainly specializes in reeses. However it is also capable of other types of analogish leads and pads. The "Dual Rez Notch Filters" can be coaxed into formant-like behavior, allowing vowel morphing. For more info see the upload on Native Instruments' Reaktor User Library. |
This is the predecessor of Dragon, as the concepts for the "3-Saw"
oscillator and the "Dual Rez Notch" filters were developed here. Menace
was inspired by this
thread on Dogs on Acid on creating basslines done by C4C, Teebee and
Optical. It's a basic synth, with a single purpose. Menace Filter is just the filter section of the synth tweaked for use on stereo audio channels as insert effect. |

TWISTED DELAY (click to download) ![]() click to see larger image |

|
Twisted Delay is a Filter driven delay with feedback
instability and left/right cross-coupling. The signal is passed through a
2-pole filter where it gets split into high-passed, band-passed and
low-passed streams. Each stream is then fed into it's own delay line. The
delayed signals get mixed, passed through a saturator and get fed-back
into the filter.
The main feature of the delay is the fact that it can be driven into feedback instability by adjusting Feedback, Saturation, Cross-Coupling, Filter Resonance and individual tap level controls. Because the feedback characteristics depend on the combination of the above controls, it is possible to generate wide range of sounds from wailing, whistling, ear-piercing noise (watch your monitors!) to subdued burbling sounds that go on forever. By assigning MIDI CCs to control the above, as well as HF and LF damping, you can actually "play" the feedback. 16 snapshots have been provided, covering from simple doubling to trancey echoes to some mad feedback loops. When using Twisted Delay in standalone mode, be sure to hit the Reaktor "play" button when using the tempo synced delays and LFOs. |
