ABOUT US

The 5Sci1 of '99 comprised of 35 students. There were two newcomers in our Senior year: Nadiya, who was actually our former student who was accepted into a boarding school but later returned; and Munira, who had just transferred from a PJ coed school.

Our class teacher was Pn. Sapiah, who taught us Mathematics and Additional Maths. Then, there were the "Mind Your Ps and Qs" Pn. Lyla (English), the strict Pn. Norezan (B. Melayu), the kindly and gentle Pn. Chia (Chemistry), the hapless (we meant it in a good way!) Mr. Woo (Physics), and last but not least, the incorrigible Pn. Raja who sported an abominable sense of humour in teaching us Biology.

1999 was what we might call the "Year That Was". It was full of memorable events - us winning the Choral Speaking Finals and the District Championship and some awful moments like the time we were punished for some oversight on our part of school responsibility (oops! the deed will not be mentioned) and we were disgraced. Ah, well. Live and learn. Altogether, those experiences only enriched our senior year and making it all the more special.

ABOUT THE WEBSITE

And the Website came about as a sudden brainwave!

Credits should go to Ai Hwa, Alia and Lisa, who first thought of starting the website as a mini-project of their own for English class. Later on, Munira volunteered to help out as well, and 7 years later, this is the end product - a result from the whole class refusing to see it wither and die away. In short, the reason this site still has a long life is all due to the class spirit that is still amazingly strong, even today.

When we first lauched this website (thanks to Ai Hwa, Alia and Lisa who worked hard shaping it at the beginning), we never thought that it would bloom into this website we see today. While there were some who expected this website to just fade away soon after the graduation, there were those who came forward and insisted that it should stay online as a ground for us to know what's going on in each other's lives and keep in touch. It is also a reminder of who we are and what we stood for. Even today, in early 2007, there are still those who visited this site and fill in the guestbook. Among the visitors that frequent this site, surprisingly, are not only just the members from the class - they are from other classes and other schools. The site has evolved throughout the years, from the rough .html byproduct to the new fully-functional CSS format it has adopted today. Gotta keep up with modern times, don't you agree?

We would like to thank those who had helped in trying to keep this website alive. You know who you are. We hope you would always drop by and add some of your thoughts and feedbacks in the guestbook. Thank you and forever keep in touch.

A little glimpse at the past...
The following are some of the old designs our site used to sport over the years. As you can see, the colour green is our general theme as it was our school colour.
