LTC William Gooley: Battalion Commander, 1961 – 1962. Lives in Monterey CA.

LTC Lyle Duffield: Battalion Commander, 1962 – 1964. Lives in Fayettville PA.

MAJ Sampson: 504th Executive Officer, 1964 - 1965

MAJ Luis Romeu: Acting Battalion Commander, 1961. Lives in Philadelphia PA area.

CPT Patrick Brennan*: (1961 -1964) Was 504th Adjutant, HHC Commanding Officer, and A Company (Boeblingen) Commanding Officer. Retired from the Army as a LTC in 1982, and operated a consulting company and was a Realtor in Austin TX when he passed away on Sep. 28, 2007.

 

CPT Sidney Faress: 504th Adjutant, 1964 - 1965. Quality Control  Manager at Char-broil Corp in Columbus GA. Lives in La Grange GA.  sfaress@charbroil.com

 

CPT Leigh Cheney (1961 - 1965) 7th Army Major Electronic Items Supply Officer until the deactivation of the 504th. Retired from the Army in 1968. Worked at Kimberly-Clark (the Kleenex people) for 25 years. Now retired and living in North Augusta SC. 

CPT Paul Tomes: Company C (Hanau) CO, 1962 - ?

CPT William Buck: Assistant S-3 Officer, 1961 - ? Passed away in Tinton Falls NJ in late 1980s.

CPT Maurice Orlando (1963 - 1965) 504th S-2 Officer.

LT Robert Neagle(1964 - 1965) Twenty-five years in Operations Analysis, Budgeting & Expense Analysis, and Financial Analysis & Reporting at Aetna Life & Casualty, retired in 1994. Self-employed in small business financial analysis and bookkeeping 1995 - 2003. Lives in CT.  neagle504@yahoo.com

 

LT Charles Byron Christian*(1964 - 1965) Now retired, Byron was a Program Manager and Manager of Information Technology at Bell Helicopter in Hurst TX, where he lives. bigsnail@charter.net

 

LT James Topple: (1964 - 1965) Vice President of Robert Pattillo Properties in Atlanta, GA. Lives in Decatur GA, where he is an active member of the Rotary Club. Update: Jim has probably retired from Robert Pattillo Properties because a recent e-mail I sent him was returned as undeliverable.

 

LT Ramey Brandon*: (1964 - 1965) 1st Signal Brigade CO May 1986 to May 1988. Retired from the Army as a COL in 1989. Lives in Tumwater WA. brandonrj@comcast.net  Read about the no hitter game he pitched for Texas Tech in April,1962.

LT Dennis Larson(1964 - 1965) A registered Professional Engineer, Dennis earned a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from Purdue University in 1971, and was an Associate Professor of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at the University of Arizona in Tucson when he retired in 2006. Dr. Dennis is a dedicated do-it-yourselfer and hiker, married with four grown children, and lives in Tucson AZ.  larsond@email.arizona.edu

LT Joseph Malie or Joseph Maylie : (unsure of spelling) (1964 - 1965) Joseph Malie is a Guidance Counselor at Eagle Heights Academy, a charter grade school in Youngstown OH, where he lives. Joseph Maylie lives in Portland OR. 

LT William Eriksson: (1964 -1965) Works for Quantitude, a telecommunications consulting company. Lives in San Francisco bmwkid@pacbell.net

LT Henry Simpson: Last known address (1980s) was in Warner Robbins GA area.

LT Kendall Fugate: (1961 – 1964) Joined Battalion as Commanding Officer of the Direct Support Unit in Kaiserslautern, and later moved to Mannheim as Battalion S2. D Company Commander in late1963/early 1964. Left the Army in 1967. Retired from Citibank, lives in Alamo CA. kenfugate@aol.com

LT Raymond Davis: Was at 504th HQ only a few months in 1965 before being transferred to AFN Frankfurt.

LT Walter Bawell: Co. D, 1964 - 1965. Walt has over 30 years of logistics engineering experience and is recognized as one of the foremost Army logistics thinkers. Walt developed and modeled algorithms for repair parts stocking decisions which reduced inventory levels while improving world wide availability of stocked items. He chaired and led the Department of Defense (DoD) procurement and implementation of bar code technology, Logistical Marking and Reading System (LOGMARS), returning a savings of $110 million within 3 years. As Commander of a Corps Materiel Management Center in Germany he developed a software asset visibility system yielding $24 million in cost avoidance charges. Walt retired from the Army as a Colonel, and joined the Foresight Systems management team as Director, European Region in March, 2009. CW2 Robert McCall*: OIC of Co. C Support Point 774 (Kitzingen), 1963 - 1965. Twenty-seven years Army service. Retired as a CW4 in February 1972. SPC4 Larry Hood*: (1963 - 1965) Larry has been a machinist with the Olin Corporation in Illinois since 1966. He initially worked on the Minuteman missile program, and has been refurbishing Minuteman gas generators since 1996.
