What is Scouting?
Scouting is a world-wide youth organization. Its aim is to develop young people physically, spiritually and mentally through non-formal education with emphasis on practical activities in the outdoors so that youth may take a constructive place in society. The movement was founded by Lord Baden Powell in 1907 who at that time was a senior member of the Boys' Brigade. Currently it has over 28 million members in 217 countries and territories.
