Season 1

1. A Man About the House

  • Series goof: The trio's apartment is not above The Roper's apartment, evidenced by the direction of the stairs leading to apartment 201, despite complaints by the Ropers and Mr. Furley over noises from above, leaking water, Stanley's 'hotline', etc.

  • 4. No Children, No Pets
  • When Jack takes the puppy out of the box, he puts the box on the sofa and it falls on the floor. In a later shot, the box is back on the sofa.

  • Season 2

    7. Ground Rules
  • In this episode, both Janet and Chrissy really should get the first punishment due to the fact that Janet and Chrissy traded nights and broke the first rule.

  • 8. Jack Looks For a Job
  • On the DVD (and presumably on TV) around 6 minutes and 30 seconds into this episode if you look to the very left of the screen you can see the back of the set

  • 12. Alone Together
  • On the DVD at 4:30 into the episode, watch the microphone dip down just from the top of the screen between Jack & Janet.

  • 18. Jack's Uncle
  • In this episode Jack states that he is his uncle's only nephew, but the episode "Lee Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" is about Jack's older brother.

  • 31. Coffee, Tea or Jack
  • The cake that Chrissy made loses the "Y" on the side of the cake at the end of the episode. Editor's Note: We only see the opposite side of the cake at the end of the episode, the "Y" is on the opposite side as Mrs. Roper carries the cake out.

  • Season 3

    33. Good Old Reliable Janet
  • Janet is supposed to be nude under her towel, but it looks like she's wearing nylons.

  • 35. The Fast
  • Janet isn't made to give up anything. That seems rather unfair.
  • REPLY: Maybe they don't think Janet is absolutely obsessed with anything that really needs to be given up.

  • 37. My Sister's Keeper
  • Towards the beginning of the episode, on the coffee table in the living room, there is a magazine with John Ritter's face on the cover!
  • Of course, we never see Jenny again. She isn't even at Janet's wedding in the final episode.

  • 38. Chrissy and the Guru
  • The girls in the cult walk around barefoot. I hope they watch where they step outside.(broken glass, rusty nails, etc.)

  • 44. Eleanor's Return
  • They do not mention anything about Eleanor's son, who was born in the first episode.

  • 46. Stanley's Hotline
  • It would be impossible for Stanley to hear goings-on from the trio's bathroom through a pipe in his bathroom, as the trio's bathroom is located on the opposite side of the apartment, and the trio's apartment isn't even located on top of the Roper's.

  • 51. An Anniversary Surprise
  • Mr. Roper finds out Jack isn't gay before he and his wife move. But in the series spinoff, "The Ropers", when Jack and the girls occasionally make guest appearances, Mr. Roper makes still makes references and jokes about Jack being gay.

  • Season 4

    56. The New Landlord
  • In one scene of this episode, the camera goes to high and we see the top of the set wall above jack's bedroom door.

  • 61. A Camping We Will Go
  • On the camping trip, there are many errors. First of all, the background is obviously a painted backdrop. Also, underneath the hammock and the area surrounding it, there is obviously some sort of mattress built into the ground for Jack to cushion his fall (obvious many times during the scene). Last, when Jack is walking around zipped in his sleeping bag, he walks past the camera and a shadow from the stage light becomes visible behind him, as this much light in the forest would not be produced at night.

  • 67. The Reverend Steps Out
  • When Larry gives Jack and Janet the show tickets, Jack and Janet run out on them, and now Larry is left alone in the roommates' apartment: a goof.

  • 74. Lee Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother
  • If Lee is so perfect, how does he not have a wife or girlfriend yet? And if he was always "better" than Jack at everything, it's weird how Jack is the one living with two girls.

  • 75. The Root of All Evil
  • Wasn't Janet the one who told Jack to go to Dr. Prescott in "Jack the Ripper"? In this episode, it seems as though they are meeting for the first time.

  • Season 5

    85. Chrissy's Cousin
  • Janet attempts to bring in a male roommate to replace Chrissy. Would the kids have to pretend that he is gay also (and if so, two gays might not work out either).
  • I find it odd that Jack and Janet brought in their current beaus since 1st of all, no hanky panky...and 2nd of all what if they break up?! Also, if Bill had become to roommate, would he have slept in the same room as Janet, in Chrissy's old bed? I find that strange.

  • 88. Jack's Other Mother
  • When Gladys goes into the kitchen for the first time to get Jack a cup of milk, she amazingly knows where the cups are: in an upper cabinet above the stove!

  • 89. Make Room for Daddy
  • When Jack's champagne pops, look very closely, because what comes out of the bottle is actually a long, white strip of ribbon!

  • 96. Night of the Ropers
  • With this being the last ever direct reference to Chrissy, it would be appropriate to say that the show never does explain why Chrissy moved out, and believe it or not, her good friends Jack and Janet don't care to ever mention her again.

  • 98. Dying to Meet You
  • When Jack is on the phone and there is a knock at the door, you can see that there's a chair pushed up against the door. But when Jack is actually at the door, he doesn't move the chair out of the way before opening the door. The chair is already off to the side of the door.

  • 99. The Case of the Missing Blonde
  • When Jack has Cindy's father tackled and is demanding to know where she is, he says he doesn't have his hearing aid on. But just a few minutes ago, Cindy turned it on to tell him 'good morning', and he heard Jack when he was outside pretending to be room service.

  • Season 6

    102. Jack Bares All (a.k.a. Oh, Nurse) (2)
  • During the scene when Jack and Larry are playing their "A million laughs" joke on Terry, as Jack takes the glasses from Terry he says "Wait a minute Tammy". I don't know if he called her Tammy because he didn't like her or John Ritter plain forgot and nobody in editing caught it.
  • The amount of black ink under Terri's eyes after removing the glasses changes after Jack ruin's her dress.
  • How can Cindy get into UCLA though, seeing throughout the time she was a roommate, it seems she most likely couldn't have high enough grades to get into UCLA.

  • 115. Maid to Order
  • When Jack, Cindy, and Rita are in the living room, Jack tells Rita that Cindy is his Swedish maid and only speaks Swedish to her. In the next scene with the three of them together, Jack speaks English to Cindy in front of Rita, and Rita does not care. Strange.

  • 120. Doctor in the House
  • During the examination scene in the Doctor's office, Jack mistakenly refers to Janet as Mrs. Fordwick instead of Mrs. Foster and the mistake draws a minor laugh from the audience. John Ritter played the Reverend Fordwick on "The Waltons" during the show's early run.

  • 124. Janet Wigs Out
  • In the scene where Jack gets his hand stuck in the wig, if you look carefully, it clearly isn't stuck. When both Janet and Terri each try to pull it off Jack's hand, you can see Jack's hand turning into a gripping fist to hold on to the hair.

  • 125. Up in the Air
  • When Janet and Jack go to the upper-class party, Janet is ashamed of Jack being a chef and tells him to lie about his occupation. He does own a restaurant he bought from Mr. Angelino, so couldn't he just say he owned a restaurant? Doesn't sound too shabby...
  • Editor's Note: Jack doesn't own his restaurant until the next season of Three's Company. Currently, he is unemployed and sometimes fills in at Angelino's.

  • Season 7

    133. Jack Gets His
  • When Mr. Furley is writing the rent check for Mr. Angelino, he shakes the pen which accidentally gets ink splotches all over Mr. Angelino's suit jacket. When Mr. Angelino leaves, the ink is no longer there.

  • 145. Jack's Double Date
  • Jack tried giving up women for a whole week before in the episode "The Fast" in which Chrissy had to give up food and Jack women. Jack failed, so why would he try it again?

  • Season 8

    152. She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not
  • When Larry (and later Jack) falls into the lake from the boat, you can see a mysterious wire attaching the boat to the dock so it doesn't move too fast (there is also the normal rope attaching the boat to the dock so this wire is a goof).

  • 153. The Money Machine
  • When Furley sits in the center of the old couch, you can hear a loud noise from a loose spring. Later, when Jack sits in the center of the old couch, no loose spring is heard.

  • 154. Out on a Limb
  • after Jack convinces Janet to write a letter to the food critic, there's convenietly a typewriter on the desk that wasn't there in any previous or following episodes.
  • Because this episode should have aired before the previous episode, The Money Machine, the couch in the apartment magically switches back to the old couch after Mr. Furley bought a new one. It switches back to the new couch in the next episode.
  • How does Jack open up the window to Townsend's office from the outside? It seems rather impossible for a window to be made like that.

  • 172. Friends and Lovers (2)
  • Chrissy had been a great friend to Janet for years. Why wouldn't she invite her to the wedding? I can understand why on the producers verses Suzanne thing, but couldn't Janet say, "Well, it was to bad Chrissy couldn't make it to the wedding."
  • In the episode "The Apartment" where Jack catches Mr. Angelino having an affair, we see the apartment above Jack's Bistro is only one room...a small bedroom and a bathroom. However, when Vicky and Jack move into this apartment at the end of the episode, we see there is also a large living room, and the bedroom looks nothing liike it did in this previous episode.
