lOVE, AND CARE!

With a litttle more love,

we can do miracles

with a little more care we can share a lot .

We can turn in this world around

a week can make it a tougher ground.

Give justice a sweet sound and let your heart pound

It's time for love to be found, its time for love to be found.

Bring  your hands together,  no one will ever suffer

from one generation to another share this dream forever

Give a little more love straight from the heart

Give a little more love

You are our hope for a were tomorrow

You are the smile we need today

Keep the torch of love burning, burning all the way

Tomorrow is a brand new day at

Bring your hands together for a better future

No one will ever suffer

No more wars, broken hearts or  taken minds

N o more homeless people in lonly nights or hungry children in a dark lights

Think of others

Think of all the broken hearts

Bring your hands together

No  more agony to remember

With little more love we can do miracles

With a little more care we can share a lot.

Say A Prayer!

Say A Prayer!
By
Gladys Karam

When you feel the heat of defeat.
You sit silent in your lonely seat
Face to face with a monster called "FEAR"
Then you think victory is never here!
Feeling scared, and vulnerable,
Left alone in pain.
Your loss appears to be more than your gain.
SAY A PRAYER!

You stand on a shaky ground with a trembling heart ready to pound in panic with no sound
Faster than a speeding bullet shot from a smoking gun nowhere to be found.
SAY A PRAYER

When no one seems to listen or even care
Life will be totally unfair
You're hurt, broken inside
You feel empty as if your heart just died
When everyone steps aside, and no one takes your side
Fill your life with enough hope to keep you warm inside
True Love can't be denied, and Angels will be by your side.

Things can't be done right
You're too weak to fight.
When many words are spoken, and love is no longer a token
Things aren't easy to understand
Your knees become too weak to stand the heavy weight of mixed emotions that were set in fast motion.

You become under the mercy of a sudden attack, bullets of cold sweat run down the spine of your aging

back.
Hold faith in your hand, and don't give in so fast
Look for hope again in your heart; you'll end up a winner at last
Believe in yourself. Believe that you can
Miracles do happen without a prior plan

Not everything you feel is real or anything you can't see is a lie!
Look for the truth that many others might deny.
I'm sure someone will testify.
You should see the bottle half full even when it's empty
The half empty will be full in no time
Don't get lost. Find your way. All you need is to pray!

An Old Man's Story
by
Gladys Karam

Back in 1925, I was a tough handsome young man
I fell in love once and I swore not to do that again!

Her father was a millionaire, an old man who had grey hair
Jimmy Dough wasn't mainly fair or even had the decency to care

Dough was his main game, and cash was his middle name

He threw me out like a dog when I asked for his daughter's hand
He didn't give me a chance to make him understand that what I had in mind for love is a simple wedding band

People called me a gold digger, Dough said: " a fortune hunter what I am"
He slammed the door in my face, and told me that his home will never be my place
No one dared to lend me a hand

It's true he had money, and lots of honey to share!
He lived in a big house, and drove a Cadillac everywhere.
But the way he treated me was totally unfair.

His daughter's heart got broken,
I'm certain without a word being spoken.

Well, I had nothing to offer. I can hardly survive.
I only got empty pockets, and a few dimes to stay alive.

Mary Lou got married to another buckaroo. There wasn't anything that I can do.
She tied the knot, and settled down then later on she moved out of town. I felt like a sad clown who was
harshly let down.

So, I travelled miles, and miles far away, looking for a place to stay, and a new job to do, hoping to forget
about this unforgettable day!

Years went by, I got old and grey. I became rich so rich that no one can stand in my way.
I ain't the same no more, and money is all I know. I realized that life is worth more than just dough.

I packed my bags, and on a plane I took a ride, heading home for good to stay. But a pretty young lady
stole my heart on that particular day. She looked like an angel from heaven that was put in my way.

I talked about marriage, and my dream of the baby carriage.

I said: " I am old but I'm worth your weight in gold.
I offered her my bank account, and told her that on me she can count".

She looked me in the eyes with courage, and refused my proposal of marriage.
I can't forget what she said. Her words almost dropped me dead. "I am poor and pretty honey but you can't buy
me with your money.
No matter how rich you are, you can't reach this star."
She seemed to be not a friend, and I guess that was the end.
Jenna left me with new scars, and a broken heart to mend.
Sixty-seven years ago Mary Lou's father said "NO" too,
Who knew, money wouldn't even do.
It's true; life can be a rotten stew.

I went below the low, and gathered a lot of dough.
Money became my object!
Who can object about this subject or even say "NO".

Life isn't easy when you're greedy, and ready to be needy any time you choose.
Nothing matters when you have manners to lose.

Money gave me fame; and things started to seem not so lame.
I played over and over the same old game. Greed became my desperate lane.

The Dollar's sign was always on my mind.
I couldn't spare, not even a dime.

Barabing barabang years rolled by, and now I am nothing but an old lonely guy. I became an old man's tale.
I learned the hard way that love isn't for sale.

I ain't going to lie, the truth is far from a simple sigh.

I don't want to die or even say goodbye
I'm all alone and far from home.
I just want someone to understand, and hold my hand
And find me a start somewhere to begin

Turn back the clock if you can
I don't really have any other plan

Turn the clock back if you can
I just want to be young again

Turn the clock back if you can
I really want to become the people's #1 fan
But you can't easily please anyone even if you can
There must be another end for this old man
In the past or present, some things will remain the same
No matter what you do, you'll be the one who gets the blame

There must be a way to turn back the clock again
To relive the past once again for a second chance to gain
If you were in my shoes what would you choose?
Where do you think I should begin!
THE END

That's all folks; it's all I know about an old man's story.

A Tragedy Of Love!!!
by
Gladys Karam

Once upon a time, a love story is born in the beginning of winter. On one of the greatest big mountains in the Middle East,
a miracle is found next to an aging tree. During this cold season, a small beautiful red rose grew out of the snow mysteriously.
It seemed like a bright dawn announcing the birth of a new day after a long dark night. The small rose was rising higher by
the second just like a sun shining through dark clouds to reach earth with its golden ray. This little red rose flourished its youthful
green leaves upon the snowy ground magically, touching the snow with warmth and compassion of a mother's hands holding her
newborn.

The white snow (looked up at this lovely sign of youth with wisdom, and enough knowledge then said): "A new hope is born at last!
Hello Fancy face."

The rose (tilted a little to look down at the snow, forming a question mark with her position): "Who is down there?"

The White Snow (Answered from down under): " I'm the Snow, wise, and cold. (The rose folded her leaves with a shivering shyness,
and remained silent by not giving an answer). The Snow noticed the rose's sudden reaction, and continued uttering his words anxiously
just like a man who has never been in love before) Time gave me a number, and forty years aren't easy to remember but by God I have
never seen such a beauty like yours before. (The rose became shyer when the wind moved its branch right and left, forcing it to dance like
an Egyptian serpent on its soft tune) Don't be shy for being so beautiful, and innocent. (With courage) Beauty is like a sad poem, a love
song or a lovely painting drawn by the hands of God. Innocence is the essence of true love, rare, and priceless. When I look at you, I feel
young again. (The rose listened carefully, and with admiration) You are stealing my breath away, and I think I'm falling in love with you.
(Pause) yes, I do love you, and I will always do for eternity".

The Rose replied softly: "You sound very wise, rational, and your words are so meaningful. You impress me with every word you say.
(Pause) I feel safe and sound knowing that you're here. (With a happy tone) I think I love you too my dear old snow. (The snow couldn't
believe this unexpected response from this little innocent rose. It gathered itself around the rose's roots like a united pack of logs in a fireplace,
building walls of protection for his new love to be."

The White Snow (asked his love calmly): " As long as we have mutual feelings, and share the essence of love. (Softly) Will you marry me
my love,
and make me feel happy again." (The red rose shook her green leaves out of disappointment, breaking down the walls of snow, and slipped
away sadly).

The Red Rose (replied in a scary tone): " I'm afraid that it isn't possible. I just can't agree. (With compassion) My dear Snow, I know that you
love me sincerely but I am way too young for any commitment now. Can't you simply wait for me?" (The Snow looked up ironically at its only
hope for tomorrow).

The White Snow (Sad): "Don't worry my little one. I have no choice but to wait for you. (The Rose appeared to be a bit relieved, hearing the
Snow's promise) I promise to love you forever."(The rose started to dance happily along with the wind).

Time passed by, and spring was pushing winter away as usual. The rose grew up and flourished happily. It looked down at the snow, and asked
in a wondering voice: " My dear old snow, I wonder if you still love me after all this time!" (The Snow looked at the Rose with sorrow).

The White Snow (replied sadly in a very shy voice of an old man in his eighties):
" Don't you think that your invitation is a bit late? (Laughs) Why are you asking now?"

The red rose shook its leaves with pride just like a young lady in her early twenties, then says: " Don't you see, I grew up. Look at my
green leaves how big they got. Look at the shape of my red pedals. What happened? You stopped loving me!! You promised me to wait.
(Dances from the cold weather, and shivers from the northern wind) Don't you want to marry me any more?" (The White Snow started to
laugh when he heard the Rose's proposal).

The White Snow (Stopped laughing): "Darling, don't be sad...How can I stop loving you but I wish your proposal was a bit earlier.
(Addressed the rose with love, and an endless passion) Fancy face. You are my only love but I'm way too old now for this commitment.
(The rose got sad) Can't you see how things are changing fast? My veins are turning brown, and my white face is sweaty. Tears are running
down my cheek faster than my cry of help, and the ground is gladly absorbing my sadness to burry it deep in the heart of earth. I think time
paid off. I can see the end when the wind blows through my tough grounds taking off layers of my time, leaving me with nothing, nude in the
middle of nowhere. Meanwhile, the sun is melting me away, depriving me of my only hope. Sweet heart, I got too old for a young rose like
you. It's too late for me to start when the end is near by. This is the bitter truth about the cycle life, and destiny. I'll be gone soon but remember
that my love for you is eternal. I'll always love you for ever and ever."

The rose (objected real hard, and stated with confidence): " I'll die if you leave me alone. I'll die if we get separated. (Desperately trying to
convince The Snow) Listen, I can't live without you in my life."

And as the sun was melting the Snow away, and turning every flake into cold water, the White Snow cried out of desperation: "We'll die
and never meet as lovers. It's my destiny my love. We're just like dusk and dawn! It's my destiny that you were born when I am young,
and when you're old enough I am almost gone." (The Red Rose bended down in sadness hopelessly devoted to merciless monster called love).

The Rose got weaker, and weaker overnight. It couldn't bear the harsh wind, or the running water down the mountain. The changes were
so sudden, fast, and unexpected. The Rose's life became so vulnerable then died drowning in the cold water of The White Snow.

THE END

Castle Of Sand!

Castle of sand
By
Gladys Karam

Castle of sand is my home
Built on a shaky land in the heart of a storm!
Wind is too strong to bear alone
Don't turn my heart into a stone
Take my hand; don't leave me on my own
My love is taking a new form

It takes two, and I need you
To be by my side along this ride
Hold my hand, and understand.
Our love is a sacred band

Say that you love me
Say that you do
Don't break my heart in two

I kneel to pray
For you to say
Love is our way
To fall in love for good one day
Let's face the wind together
And ride on the wings of love forever

I fold my heart like a rose
In the palm of my hand
Trying to hide the dose of pain
You may understand

I long for peace of mind
Something I can't easily find
When you aren't around
I feel like I'm not found

I'm not the only one to blame
You should feel the same
When we're falling apart
Before we even start
Falling in love for good
Like we should
Love is always misunderstood!

Time is fading my love away
It's so hard for me to stay

Watching life goes on
While I try to hold on
Forever young
In the heart of
My beloved one!

Living A Dream!!
Current mood:  creative
Category: Writing and Poetry

You go through me like the wind goes through the trees
Shaking the leaves with tenderness and ease
Caressing me with gentle love that never ceases to stop to breeze
Your touch cures the sadness in my soul.
My heart cries for the night to fall, and awaits dawn's early call to see your smile after all.
You give me fire with your words of satire
You're my energy. You're my power
With you at my side I never give up or even retire
You dance in my eyes like the flames rattle in a campfire
You supply me with an endless desire to fight fire with fire
Love is so powerful when your heart is truly faithful.
You build my self-esteem by simply giving me enough hope to dream and live my life like a stream

that has no end to redeem

You make me feel alive, and willing to survive
You trap me to fall in love, and love the will of love that you don't even have for me!
Now I understand why you don't let me be.
Your words set me free, alive, and happy.
