Due to restrictions in Illinois and the loss of Federal status we have adapted an arsenal of borderline legal "defensive" equipment. Personally we strongly recommend you don't try this at home.

WARNING Use of these items may be illegal in your area. We strongly suggest that you check with local Law Enforcement before implementation. Use of items may constitute excessive payment to lawyers, long stretches of sitting in a small room with very nasty people and many years of not bending over to pick up the soap in the shower.

Fire Fly

This outstanding irritant can be blown/thrown into the face/breathing area of an attacker rendering them temporarily incapacitated. It is made from inexpensive houshold items. (1) part black pepper, (1) part powdered garlic, (1) part cayenne pepper. The mixture should be finely ground to facilitate extended airborn qualities.

WARNING  this should be handled with gloved hands due to irritant qualities work on operatives as well as aggressors. 

Serums & Vaccines

Our operatives carry auto-injectors of serums and vaccines believed to be useful during operations. Additional varieties and supplies are on hand within the OpsComm vehicle on station. Our vaccines are created by researchers formally employed by the UDC, who have gone onto private practice.

WARNING Always check with your unit physician to see if serums or vaccines may cause an allergic reaction.

Ice Dragon Breath

Originally this weapon was found by accident, but works very well against almost all aggressors. Essentially it is a fire extinguisher rigged into a solid backpack, the insulated hose and trigger mechanism runs along the agents shield side. The exit nozzle extends to just past the back of the hand with the trigger firmly placed into the palm of the hand. This item, although bulky, is effective to confuse an aggressor's olfactory senses, slow down agressor's actions and temporarily blind.

WARNING  this item also has the same effects when used on human agents. Insulated hose on exhaust is also necessary to avoid tissue damage along arm.

Fire Storm

Designed around a high powered Flashbang we added Magnesium/Phosphorus spheres which ignite when the primary explosive detonates. The now burning spheres fly in every direction burning everything in their way. Very effective when used to clear a room full of opposition.

WARNING Ok, explosives and fire - if you can't figure out the realities of this you REALLY shouldn't be using this.

Compact version of the military flamethrower. The effective range is only about 6-7 feet, which works great for us in small places and urban areas where you do not wish to start a major fire.

Type 1 Talons

This item is normally used on strong hand. (5) sharpend small blades are attached to the fingers of a heavy utility glove similating the claws of some aggressors. This covert weapon, when made correctly, will not interfere with normal attack movement (practice, practice, practice) but it will make a nasty surprise for an aggressor not expecting an armed opponent.

WARNING Practice with this item is necessary to avoid accidents.

This item is used on the strong side hand. Attached to the hand but not the forearm are (3) blades situated between the fingers. The blades do not extend beyond the fingers when streched flat, thus making them concealable. Use of hook & loop fasteners to the hand and wrist give this weapon a stable platform when defending yourself. 

WARNING this item will affect certain weapon and fighting maneuvers - Practise, Practise, Practise 

This item is similar to Type 2 Talons except that a solid support for the blades run from the back of the strong hand to just below the elbow. Type 3 blades can also be extended beyond the fingertips since the use of this item severly limits the normal open hand fighting techniques as well as other defensive items normally used.

WARNING This item needs to be worked with to establish abilities and restrictions of use. Also extended blades create a concealment problem not found with Type 1 & Type 2 Talons. 

Overall length is between 36" to 42" long and is very effective in close quarter combat. This item should only be used by highly trained personnel.

WARNING Sharp pointy blade, should be used by trained personnel in order to avoid unwanted boo boos.

Very effective for close quarters combat or as a throwing weapon. Our agents prefer using composite shaft with a heavy, smaller head and face.

WARNING Know how to handle this before you even attempt to use in combat. Improper preperatory training can result in unecessary injury and loss of the weapon to the opposition.

Always a good backup for the right situation. Personally we use Gil Hibben designs far more that any other type. Not only are they precisely balanced but they look really good.

WARNING Seriously, learn how to handle these things and you WILL avoid hospital and jail visits from your relatives.

This item is very specialized, using a car rear suspension leaf spring the size and form is cut out using a torch. Using custom measurments, this weapon is fitted for size to the agent it is made for. Carving a wood handle and sharpening the blade to a fine edge, the added weight makes this an outstanding piece of equipment for stopping rampages of all sorts.

WARNING If you are not careful and practise the use of this item, we have no doubt that you will do serious bodily injury to yourself and others.

Short Staff

Basically this is a wood dowel rod or broom handle, about 3/4" to 1" thick and around 36" long with a tapered point at one end. Size is variable to the agent's comfort and skill level. This item is good for close in fighting while allowing for fast disposal without a large expense. Martial arts training is very useful to have in conjunction with use of the Short Staff.

WARNING Do we really have to keep going over this?? Common sense people!

These can be purchased from uniform supply shops. Our agents prefer the type which can be closed by pushing a button on the base of the baton. These are effective due to concealability, speed of use, and bone breaking capacity.

Standard police issue side handle baton. 24 inches long with the extra handle allows for greater force when smashing an assailant. Comes in either one piece construction or collapsable for concealment.

Old technology but still very effective. This item can be custom sized for the agent from 3' to 6' range. Precisely balanced and if neccessary able to be disassembled for concealment. This item can be used in a variety of situations against a variety of opponents.

WARNING Practise and experience helps avoid accidents. Never use any weapon systems without proper training and supervision.

Electric Baton

Essentially this is a high powered cattle prod.We have increased the structural strength using a ballistic PVC & rubber outer shell and increased the voltage output from 500,000 volts to 750,000 volts. Added to the upgraded voltage is 100 Amps. Needles to say, we suggest that you don't make contact with the recipient due to combustability factor. Normally we have these 24" long to keep a safe distance.

WARNING This item is extreamly hazardous and should only be handled by heavily trained and experienced agents.

Devistator Taser System

Type1

This design has a flashlight attachment allowing for the agent to carry multi use equipment which lowers the weight requirements for operations. The taser system has a separate power cell from the light and fires (6) darts simultaneously at the target, with the maximum distance of 15'. The output is 500,000 volts and designed to disable, although it is capable of upgrading to the same level as the Electric Baton. This unit also has an auto retractor attached to it, so that it is capable of relaunching/reuse when darts are pulled from the target.

Type 2

This design is more conventional in the sense that it is shaped and fired similarly to a handgun. This unit also (6) darts, which are launched (2) at a time with the current activator being a different switch. This adaptation allows engagement of up to (3) targets at a time. This unit does not have a retractor attachment but is does have a quick release to reload the darts. This unit has the same output capacities as the Type 1 unit.

Ultra Violet Light

Although this item is constantly overlooked by many groups, we consider this light to be an invaluable resource when tracking targets. Ulta violet light is capable of bringing into view some evidence not visible to the human eye. We have also found this to be an effective deterrent to certain types of adversaries by sending them into convultions or creating other dehabilitating situations.

WARNING Use of this item against normal people may result in damage to the eyes of others

Night Vision

Night vision systems have greatly assisted in both surveillance and assault operations. These units are quite expensive but have been comming down in price. Since we have not made changes to our supply it is unecessary to go into further explanation of these systems.

Uniforms

Our experience has led us to use solid subdued color military style BDU's for our operations. The ability to withstand wear and tear under operational situations along with the cargo carrying capacity have made them the most effective choice for use.

Miniturized Defensive Shield Unit / MDSU

Strips of thin steel covered with a strong chainmaille sandwiched between thick leather is the basis for this covert shield. This is straped onto the arm, completely surrounding it making the arm appear slightly thicker than normal. Normally this unit would cover the back of the hand to the elbow but some agents have extended this to the shoulder. This in worn on the "weak" or "shield" side arm and is effective in close quarters combat to slow down a bite. We found that this also works well for animals.

Surveillance/Control Vehicle aka Command Van

As we said in the opening page, stretching our funding is a talent we have learned to use well. To that end we have maintained older vehicles which appear to be in bad shape (appearance only). Any of our vehicles are set up to be used in surveillance operations but only a few are designed for long term duties. We have decided to use mini-vans for this purpose due to their maneuverability, speed and adaptability. Cargo versions of the mini-van are ideal for seting up scene command. Heat & A/C systems, electronics and communications are attached to an independant generator so as not to interfere with engine functions of the vehicle. Minor upgrades to the engine, placement of a heavy duty suspension system and shielding of the electrical systems are necessary for vehicle performance. With a little care we have been able to overcome the urge to follow the crowd and invest in overbearing military SUVs and remain a covert operations unit.

Flash Bang/Stun Ball

Very effective upon entrance to a "hot zone" when diorientating the opposition is vital to operational success. The Flash Bang is self descriptive concerning what it does. The Stun Ball is a variant of the Flash Bang except that this unit discharges small balls at high speed upon detonation.

WARNING Big Badda BOOM!! You could lose fingers, toes, face, etc

Blowgun

Basically these range from 6ft long range tubes to 8in long units desguised as a pen for close in use. Using a variety of potions placed onto the darts allows us to remove obstacles without arising too much suspicion.

WARNING: As dangerous as a firearm, only quieter.

Dartgun

 Similar in operational use as a blowgun, the dartgun uses a Co2 cartridge to fire the projectile. This piece is utilized when there is an element of speed and a large number of targets involved. The darts used carry the same potions and traquilizers used by the blowgun.
