Everything is crammed on to the bike and I'm just heading off to catch the first of the four trains that will hopefully get me to Penzance later this afternoon.

Bike and rider transported successfully down to Penzance.  Went to Land's End to get official stamp and pictures in daylight then ended up in pub at St. Just for food and a beer or two.  Accommodation didn't quite work to plan - sorry didn't get to meet you Alison, thanks for the oatcakes, Richard! So decided may as well carry on and get some miles in and spent first night in bivvy 19 miles into the journey.  [Guess that would officially make this Day 1 which would throw all the stats out but actually proves to make a critical difference tomorrow....]
