My Corner Of The World

Ever since I was young, I always loved sports. I enjoyed playing all types of sports, going to sporting events, and even watching them on television. I am blessed enough to live in New York which  is home to several professional sports teams in several different sports. Baseball  has the Yankees and the Mets. The minor league teams for these pro teams are in the city also. The Yankees , who play in the Bronx, have their minor league team playing in Staten Island.  The Mets, who play in Queens, NY, have the minor league team, the Cyclones, playing in Brooklyn.

In  American Football, there are the New York Giants and the New York Jets. Basketball has the New York Knicks who play at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, New York. Hockey has the New York Rangers and the New York Islanders. Soccer , or football as its known world-wide, has the Arrows playing in New York. Back in the 1970's, the Cosmos were the team in New York.  That great soccer star Pele played with the Cosmos for afew years.

There are many golf courses , tennis courts, and bowling alleys across the state of New York. So if you are a big sports fan, you can always find a sport to keep you  busy.

I played most of these sports one time or another. I enjoyed playing baseball and hockey the most. I grew up being a big fan of the New York Rangers on the NHL. I was born with blue blood.I have had season tickes to all the ranger home games at Madison Square Garden for years. That includes the year 1994, their last championship year. I have also gone to other citys in the USA and Canada to watch them play.
