Synopsis
Midnight, Jack Bauer head of The Los Angeles Counter Terrorist Unit, has just finished a chess game with his daughter, Kim. But the cosy family moment is shattered moments later when Kim disappears out of her bedroom window. Before Jack can go and look for her he is called into the office to deal with a sudden emergency, leaving his wife, Teri, to track down their daughter. The night only gets worse after Jack learns the agency believes an assasination attempt will be made on Presidential Candidate Senator David Palmer within the next 24 hours. As Jack and his team race to discover who is behind the assasination, Teri tries to locate Kim - whose night of partying has suddenly turned into a struggle for her very survival.
