Description of what camp will be about:

The Bible teache us that God is near but have you ever felt like He was still far away?  In the ancient times, God delivered his people from slavery with the promise of a new life, a promised land, and a true hope for  the future.  But between Egypt and Canaan--between their past and their future--God had to change them from being slaves to being sons who could inherit his promise.

How did the holy God of heaven bring about the personal change of 3 million people?  The same way he does it with us--He created community, built a relationship with them, and proved his faithfulness over and over until they knew Him, loved Him, and trusted Him with their whole lives.  This wasn't easy but it worked and they received their promise in full.  During this time, the Tabernacle was God's home.  In this simple snapshot picture of himself, God designed more than just a temporary temple for worship instead, he revealed the way for us to come near to him, to know him, and to experience his living presence in our lives.

During our time together we will examine this pathway into a deeper communiion with our God.  It is my hope that we all will walk away with more than just increased knowledge about God but with a deeper sense of God's heart for us and an understaning how to experience God's nearness everyday.
