Giles County Dungeons & Dragons gaming group (3.5e Edition rules) Faerun "Forgotten Realms"
Dungeon Master's Email is firstname.lastname@example.org also on yahoo instant messenger.
We play on average every week sometimes more work permitting. New players coming to the group are encouraged to make out 1st level Characters, as everyone else has in the group. But, compatable characters might be accepted. You can email or bring by your character for review. We do sometimes like to enjoy some cold ones while we game but no drugs are allowed.
New players may petition for membership, which may be denied by any member or the DM for various reasons. (Note: As of right now there are currently no members under the age of 21)
(We also are a PC gaming group, details are on "PC Games we play" webpage on here as well as noted in different places on this site.) Note: Online play and rpg gaming can welcome of age gamers without permission, Especially the PC gaming part. Our Xfire PC gaming clan which is optional is located at http://www.xfire.com/clans/24124/ and is free as well.
When we play it is usually either at My place "DM" or at another players house aka. "Skylark". Whereever we meet at it is a place where we can play uninterrupted, enjoy some cold ones and have wireless internet available. Our gaming group is based in Narrows VA-USA, in Giles County. Although we welcome new gamers from anywhere as long as they have their own transportation to show up. Online gaming of course, either online only or a hybrid game with online and local gamers, is always possible. As long as the remote party member follows certain guidelines & meets the recommended requirements. (Ask for details)
We try and follow any published work by D&D that has their logo on it. However, some house rules and exceptions exist as with any group.
We have characters from 1st level to Epic Level & Deities. The Dungeon Master has been involved in D&D since he was in the 6th grade, and he is 37 years old. You by no means have to have a long background of playing. New players to the game are always welcome as well as veterans.
If you have a laptop, pendrive, flashdrive, external HDD bring them to games with you for any material that may be handed out.(Optional)
(We do not use minatures at this time, Most visual aides are either drawn out or used on the computer. If I had to classify our group playing style it would be (75% Hack & Slash/ 25% Role-Playing.) Always welcome those that like to raise the last number too..
* We do not discriminate for any reason, But we do ask that you are 18 yrs old to play in person, and 21 if you plan to have any colds ones at games when we do play.
Online games and games that have people local and over the Internet are possible. But as a whole, Our group prefers to meetup in person and game.
(We are currently using the 3.5 Edition of D&D with some D20 addons. I have no plans to pursue 4th edition at this time. That's not to say that some content or resources may not be canabalized from it thats compatable of course, But as a whole our group has decided to not play or support 4th Edition, especially buying all new books and having the group as a whole relearning a new edition...)
((Some of our pages on our Website are "Member Only" ones, those pages are Username & Password access only)) To get to use them you must be a member of our group, which is free upon approval.
