A five season show that had its run from 1987-1992.

The show's main characters from the first season were: Tom Hanson - played by Johnny Depp, Judy Hoffs - played by Holly Robinson Peete (credited as Holly Robinson), Doug Penhall - played by Peter DeLuise, HT (Harry Truman) Ioki - Played by Dustin Nguyen, Captain Jenko - played by Fredric Forrest, Captain Fuller- played by Steven Williams

Officer Tom Hanson (Johnny Depp)

Started out as a patrol officer, but suspects didnt take him seriously because of his ultra young looks. His boss offered him a place at 'Jump Street Chapel', which at first he was hesatant to take, because he didnt like high-school the first time around. Tom Hanson became pretty much the most popular officer at 'Jump Street Chapel'. Johnny Depp's ultra hot looks caused Teenage Girl Fandom to go absoulutly crazy, he was on covers of many magazines made for teens in the late 80's early 90's.

Officer Judy Hoffs (Holly Robinson Peete *credited as Holly Robinson*)

The only girl in the Jump Street crew, and also the only one who went to college & ended up making dectective. Being a black female caused some racism to her, but she took her job with confidence knowing that she was doing the right thing by putting criminals where they belong. Holly Robinson added Peete to her last name when she married NFL quaterback Rodney Peete in 1995, they have two children Rodney & Ryan who are twins. Holly sang the theme song to '21 Jump Street' with Johnny Depp & Peter DeLuise singing back ground (they are the ones you hear saying Jump)

Officer Doug Penhall (Peter DeLuise)

Kinda gives off a first impression of a person who is always in trouble, but really ended up being a guy with a big heart. Peter DeLuise has a family of famous people. His father is Comedian Dom Deluise, and his brother Michael DeLuise joined the cast of 21 Jump Street in season 3. Peter is now writing, producing, & directing for the seried Stargate SG-1. He is married to Anne Marie Loder in which he has a son *Jake DeLuise* with.

Officer Ioki (Dustin Nguyen)

One of the first to join 'Jump Street Chapel'. A Vietnamese refugee who was passing himself off as Japanese. Ioki was a cop under two cover, a price he was willing to pay if it ment erasing bad memories. Ioki only wanted to fit in, which caused him to have a 'by the book' attitude that ruffled his co-officers. Ioki was always a trusted partner, but some found him to be a reserved friend. Dustin Nguyen brought some of his own memories to the role of Ioki. He was the first Asian-American TV idol.

Captain Jenko (Fredric Forrest)

Captain Jenko was a captain with one foot in the 60's & one foot in the 80's a hippy at heart. He was only in the series for 6 episodes. Johnny Depp joined jumpstreet for a few reasons, one being to work with Fredric Forrest. The two still remain friends, and Depp cast Forrest as his father in his directorial effort 'The Brave'.

Captain Fuller (Steven Williams)

Joined '21 Jump Street' on episode 7 after the death of Jenko. The Jump Street officers didnt trust him at first because they were accostomed to the way Jenko worked, and were having a hard time dealing with his death. Steven Williams played Mr. X on the popular TV series 'The X-Files'. Williams recognized 21 Jump Street's pwer to open a dialogue 'between young people, their parents, and their peers.' Williams is now a grandfather and a champion of youth oriented programs and continues to dedicate his time to the people that he feels are 'our future'.
