Why Are We So Popular

Our Wednesday Night Club is still going well. We still have around 70 members on the register. Although our average nightly attendance dropped over the past year it is again picking up and hitting the 40 mark.

The club still offers activities including trampolining, badmington, hockey, basketball, table tennis, fiootball, pool, table football, air hockey, computers, arts and crafts.

Is there another club locally that can offer this range of activity. What a shame there are not other clubs like ours? What a shame we are not funded to pay stafff? With a few more staff we could cater for almost double that number ..... with a few more paid staff other evenings would be just as successful.

We now, however, have some older members who are assisting us on our Wednesday Nights and their contribution is encouraging the younger members to "Get Involved" in the activities on offer.

ALSO the behaviour of our young people is exemplary, we insist on reasonable behaviour, we encourage participation.

The club is well staffed and has lots of activities on offer to the young people.

The Computer Suite - Playstation Games - Football Training - Trampolining - Pool Tables - Air Hockey - Table Football - Connect Four - Arts and Crafts Activities

Also indoor games such as ... Uihoc - Badminton - Volleyball- Parachute Games - Double Trampette- and Table Tennis

All this for just £1-00 a night in subs.

Young people in our locality need never be bored again ...at least not on a Wednesday Night.

Volunteers

We are always glad of any additional volunteers to help our club run smoothly.

If you have any time free please feel free to contact us I'm sure everyone and anyone has something to offer our club.

Football Training

A new initiative for Wednesday Nights is the introduction of footbal training.

Tony McCarthy has been a tremendous addition to the club bringing a real enthusiasm that has been infectious among the young people, encouraging them in their skills development and fitness through football.

Its a pleasure to seet both girls and boys participating night after night.

Hallowe'en Club Night

Who let those little monsters in our club. Talk about little devils. Really it was an eventful night with games and activities organised by Laura and Lucy two of our secondary school members. There were games, prizes and a lot of excitement. The whole evening ran smoothly and was pretty trouble free thanks to the organisation of the girls. The evening was enjoyed by all, especially me as I was able to sit back and watch some of our members take the lead and take responsibility for the evening.
