Table Tennis Cup Final

Twickenham Brunswick B Team have made it through to the division 3 Cup Final where they will meet London Progress D Team.

The match is scheduled for Monda 28th March 2008 at Ashford table Tennis Club Start Time 7.30pm.

This is the best opportunity for some time, for the club to claim a major susccess.

We wish the team well ... for luck should not play a part.

May the better team win.

Threee Qualify for All London Finals

On Sunday we took a small party of our young table tennis players to the West London Zone for the London Junior Ranking Tournament.

All our players were entered in Band D which gave them all a chance of doing well.

From the five players entered three won their groups with another coming runner up having lost 10-12  in the third set to the eventual winner of the group.

On saturday 23rd of February the three qualifiers will play against the best in London, and have the chance of earning National and London ranking points.

Well done to Nunzio, Jonathan and Jamie on qualifying and also to James and luke who  just missed out on qual;ifying..  

Sport England Club Mark

Twickenham Brunswick have just been awarded Sport England Club Mark, recognising the quality of the Table Tennis provision at the Club. Further to this the club has just received information that it has been granted in the region of £7000 from Hampton Fuel Allotmernts to upgrade lighting in the main hall which will certainly improve the playing conditions at the club.

National Cadet League

A good day at Southall saw our teams hold their own against strong opposition at the countries top table Tennis Club London Progress.Congratulations to those who represented the club in putting up a great performance....

Boxers Bounce Back

Five wins out of Five!!!

Congratulations to the Twickenham Brunswick Boxers on axchieving a hundred percent record at the two shows visited last weeka t Hayes and Basingstoke..

Jedd Shrubb 12 of H.C.C. in his first bout gained a points decision over his opponent.

Reece Emeny 15 having five fights under his belt won on a points decision after his opponent was given two standing counts.

Ben Tilley16 also on his first outing gained a points decision after his opponent too received a standing count.

Olly and Chris Pendlebury were on the bill at another show where they too scored well to take points decisions over their opponents.

A fantastic start to a new year, the club are all set for even greater things, Tony Rabbets and Lee Williams could not be more delighted with the first results of the season. The coaches and boxers are now keen to achieve even more...

 

Table Tennis National Cadet League

Twickenham Brunswick in third Position in Division 2 and third place in Division 4 of the National Cadet League.

Congratulations to Declan Higgins, Tom Bell and Nakul Vishuanath on some great results in Division 2 and Issac Williamson, Jonathan Tomlinson and Luke Ravenscroft in Division 4. A brilliant effort especially as five of the six players had never played at anywhere near that level of compettition before.
