Any information you give to the counsellor during a session, is held in strictest confidence. No information will be passed to anyone outwith the service without your consent. However in exceptional circumstances of risk of serious harm to you or others, we may be obliged to seek guidance and pass this information on. Even in these exceptional circumstances we will involve you in the decision as long as the delay does not create further risk to you or others. Before starting counselling we will ask you to sign a confidentiality form stating you understand this requirement.
