Contributions to the 18th Aviation Company Otternest website was made possible by the following organizations and former members of the 18th Aviation Company.  This list will get longer as we obtain more information and pictures.

  1. Executive Vice President Bruce Silvey of the AOCA organization for initial names, and Statement of History for the 18th Aviation Company.  Also Russell Edwards for his names and listing of known unit members of the 18th.
  2. Karl Hayes for his history of the different Otter units in Vietnam by means of a CD disk. and 18th Aviation Company Aircraft tail numbers.
  3. Jack Serig LTC, (Retired) Maintenance Officer 18th Aviation Company 1960-1963 for his story on the Cylinder problems at Ft. Riley, Kansas and other stories of the first year in Vietnam, and for some pictures for the first year in Vietnam.

  11. Carl Yoder for his article on the original unit patch and follow-up information on the 18th Avn Company.  (We currently researching for the manufacturer of the red Otter patch and once identified will post it here.)

  14. Contacted NARA for the unit history of the 18th for the period of 1959-1963 and 1971 also for the names of those who was in the unit from 59-71 on 9-15-09
