Beavers Christmas Show/Fair

The Beavers have been working so hard over the last number of weeks preparing for this event.  They have budding abstract artists, fabulous singers and actors who can't wait to show off their new found skills on the 15 of December. They look forward to welcoming you and your families on the night.

chcchhcThere will some skits, some singing, a raffle and the children will be selling their crafts to raise money for Beaver events next year.

Entry is €3 per family member (including extended family) which will cover the cost of teas and coffees for the adults and juice for the children.  All this work is also contributing to the children earning a special interest skill badge.

Cubs Update

As usual, the Cubs' Christmas night will be in Captain Americas. Similar to last year, it is intended to replace the traditional Kris Kindle exchange of presents (to value of €5.00) and use that money instead to buy a gift for a child chosen from the Christmas Giving Tree in the Blanchardstown Centre. Each of the Cub Sixes will decide among themselves a suitable toy to buy from the Smyths catalog for the child. A nominated member of each Six will then buy the present on the night in Smyths (accompanied by Leaders). The Cub Section will go to the Giving Tree with the donations after the meal in Captain Americas. This gesture will form part of the Cubs Community Special Interest badge award.

Group Camp 2014

Recently we had our Annual Group Camp in Larch Hill which was a great success with youth member and scouters from all sections coming together and having a great time.

Our Group Leader Karl Lynch commenting on the success of the weekend

"Thank you ALL so much for your time, participation and effort in organising/planning, cooking, programme running, audiovisual creativity, youth member guidance/tuition/discipline, camp fire theatrics (both vocally and comically) all of which helped make the group camp the success it was.

More importantly thank you to the youth members who participated in the weekend.  It was truly fantastic seeing so many little smiley faces."

Pictures from the weekend are available in the Gallery Section of the website
