Casey's (Drew Barrymore) Death Outfit and Wig
This is the outfit worn by Drew in the opening sequences of the first movie (see pics below). There were approx 3-4 sweaters used and there were 3 pairs of pants (based on info provided and detailed research of screen shots). There was 1 sweater used for the entire opening sequence. There was one sweater used as Drew lies on the porch with the ghostface killer above her. The sweater below is the one used as Drew is being dragged away and the final sweater was put on the dummy of Drew hanging on on the tree.
The 1st pants were used through the entire opening all the way up until she is lying on the porch. This pair of pants was used as she is being dragged away. And the final pair of pants were used on the dummy.
As far as we know, the outfit used on the dummy was destroyed. The other pair of pants was sold to "moviepropking" (Those were the pants used as Drew tried to get the attention of her parents as they go into the house). The sweater that goes along with those pants was sold to another collector. The opening "Hero" outfit worn by Drew has not been seen (maybe taken home by a crew member). To me, this is the coolest outfit because it was used for the most horrific moment of that entire opening,....as she is being dragged away to her death.
Unfortunately, the sweater was washed before it was sold off by "It's A Wrap", a well-known wardrobe dealer in California. The pants, however, escaped this washing and the blood stains can be matched up framed for frame on the DVD as she is being dragged away. The tears in the sweater match up perfectly in the same scene. Her shoulder was actually pulled through that huge tear on the chest as she was being dragged away. There are still traces of blood under the bottom/front of the sweater, and there are dirt stains on both elbows, probably from being dragged on the ground.
An interesting fact that my wife discovered, is that this sweater, and every sweater for that opening scene, was custom made for Drew. My father-in-law is a taylor and spotted all the tell-tale signs of a hand-knitted sweater. This particular sweater was made to be tighter on Drew probably because it prevented the sweater from "riding up" as she was dragged. If you look closely at the other sweaters throughout the opening, you can see that they fit much looser on Drew than this sweater.
This is a very rare outfit from Scream and the only "complete" Drew Barrymore outfit I know of from the movie. COA comes from "It's a Wrap".
