In September we won the inter-Wing full band competion at RAF Cosford, and so we found ourselves once again at the ATC National Band Championship at RAF Halton on Sunday 18th November 2007. We joined forces with 372 Barry Squadron to make up the Wing band for this competition, and this is the 3rd time in 4 years we reached the finals. Six Regions competed against each other in various sections, and there is no doubt that we were robbed of a fair result in the Percussion section.
In the full band section we came 3rd, but there really was very little difference between all 6 competitiors with standards improving every year. We have done well to become the 3rd best band in the Corps, and in the photographs you will see pictures from the dress rehearsal at RAF St Athan and some from the National competition at RAF Halton. The Wing band are shown below with Air Commodore Moulds, Commandant of the ATC.
