On 15 February 2008 we took 16 cadets to Llain Activity Centre near Newquay on the West coast of Wales. The day started with a session on the high ropes course, where many cadets were frightened to climb a frame to a height of 20 feet, but on reaching the top they had gained confidence, with several cadets happy to rely on their safety harnesses instead of grabbing ropes. The day progressed with a Zip slide and abseil, outdoor wall climbing, and team building challenges. We drew to a close with 2 circuits of the low level assault course. All came home exhausted.
