Gliding in a winch launched Viking glider is my favourite activity in the ATC. We had another opportunity to visit the gliding squadron at Hullavington in August, and had a marvellous day. Near the end of our visit an old Sedburg Air Cadet glider appeared and was flown by some enthusiasts who part own it. The wing is very high on this design, and being made of wood and canvas the take off and landing speeds are much slower than modern fiberglass gliders. Good to see it again, as I flew one of these when I was a cadet in 1968.
