About 12 Gauge Records
12 Gauge Records is a rap group from Uncasville, Connecticut. Rappers Jay C., Marrkzone, Skittle, and Di$count write their lyrics inspired by other artist and experiances they've been through. 12 Gauge Record's producer Jay C. makes all of the beats that are being used in the songs recorded. 12 Gauge started back in 2001 when Jay C. and Marrkzone were relaxing to some beats and decided to come up with the idea of writing lyrics over the beats. From there, Jay C. and Marrkzone created their first album "Full Clip." With out success from the album, the two considered the album as "practice". Three years later, Jay C. and Marrkzone recorded a more successful album, "The Dungeon." The Dungeon included special guests and special features such as 2pac, Di$count and Skittle. Di$count (Joe Varella) and Skittle (Stephan Haldeman) joined the rap group after "The Dungeon" was releast. Jay C. started making the beats for 12 Gauge through the middle of the second album, "The Dungeon". After "The Dungeon" was releast, the rap group recorded and practiced different rap styles over newer and improved beats. The studio consists of a RadioShack MD-1800 Synth MIDI keyboard, Computer microphones, Digital Music MIXMAN DM2 turntables, and softwares such as FL studio 5.0 and Audacity. Amps and monitor speakers are connected to the studio for improved sound. Today, the rap group is recording another album "New Beginnings" which will be releast in late 2005. Also beats are available for purchase.
