Update/save Us From Obscurity

February 27th: Update/Save Us From Obscurity

With so many bands out there, it's easy for talented acts to slip trough the cracks unnoticed and not get the buzz they deserve. Don't worry, I got you covered with the newest addition to 12 Computers. Save Us From Obscurity  will cover all the good stuff the other blogs forget to mention.

Update/Failures

February 2nd: Update/Failures

So i've been working on some syncs for the last couple weeks and after trying countless different start times i've concluded that they are in fact shit! I really thought I had something going with a certain David Lynch movie. Oh well....  Just letting you all know that I haven't quit on syncs or anything. I already have some other stuff lined up, so we'll see what happens with those!

Update/a new direction

January 11th: Update/a new direction

So i've decided to expand this site beyond movie syncs. Spuratically, I'll feature some non-sync, but still music related, articles. If my syncs interest you, so will these other articles. Plus, their is only so many syncs out there right? Speaking of which, I'm working on a new sync and it should be done by the end of the weekend. I'm not going to give it away but I'll tell you this much: It features a David Lynch movie!

Also, you should consider joining the mailing list! Just send me an e-mail (check out the contact section) if you want to be added. By being on the mailing list you'll be notified of any syncs or any other updates to the site immediately after they've been posted. This way you'll get first dibs on them and get to be the talk of the town! I swear this!

Update

January 6th: Update and thanks

I've finally finished the 12 Computers sync guide, this one is really a gem so go check it out! Skeptical? Exit Music (for a film) plays as the movie ends for crying out loud!

So thanks to the Pitchfork feature, i've seen quite an increase in site activity! From 0 to 1300 hits in one day! Wow! Thanks for taking the time to visit! And thanks to Ed Droste (from Grizzly Bear), Pitchfork, and the fine people from the "I Must Be Floating" blogspot, for taking some time to hear my crazy sync theories! For more info on all those just mentioned, check out my links section.

Welcome

Welcome to 12 Computers! Here you will find the most comprehensive and up to date guides on the latest and most obscure movie syncs. As of now I have guides up for the two syncs I've discovered; Dr. Eraser - a snyc of Kubrick's masterpiece: Dr. Strangelove with Thom Yorke's The Eraser, and City of Yellow Children which is a sync of Grizzly Bear's Yellow House with the french film, The City of Lost Children.  I've also included a very comprehensive guide for the 12 Computers sync, a sync of the film 12 monkeys and Radiohead's Ok computer. Credit for the discovery of this sync belongs to Leighton Jones, who came upon this sync in October of 2003.

All the syncs I feature I strongly believe were done on purpose. The little clues that are littered throughout some of the albums featured are at times too obvious to ignore.  Wether you believe this is all in my head or you think I'm actually on to something, is not the point. All I want is to share with others the true beauty of a well done movie sync, especially if it's an obscure sync you've never attempted or heard of before.
