This unit is an attempt to portray a Zug size (platoon/squad) unit, as schwere SS Panzer Abteilung 102, AUFKLARUNGS-ZUG in August 1944.  Our unit was formed in January 2006 by a number of veteran reenactors who wanted more from the hobby.  The unit has extremely high authenticity standards while and is as historically accurate as possible reenacting.  We are constantly expanding our knowledge and practice of our historical impression, tactics, and creditability amongst our fellow W.W.II re-enactors.  Our goal is to make re-enacting a hobby everyone can enjoy, where you can have fun!

Our unit handbook contains the basic knowledge of what will be needed for reenactments and suggests what could add to the accuracy and versatility of the unit.  In addition, there is also a historical timeline of the unit and various charts showing how it actually functioned in battle.  Rules are limited, but there is a strong sense of comradery and an unwavering commitment to follow military protocol in the field.  Our ranking is based on seniority, experience, performance, and achievement in the field.  While reenacting, we try to limit any evidence of being in current day society by our limited usage of English while tactical, and by playing dead for a few minutes when you’re “shot” at an event.  Obviously we are reenacting, but sometimes there are moments where it almost feels like you’ve been taken back in history to Europe.
