Weekly Sunday rambles

Unless otherwise stated all walks are about 7 miles long

Consideration for other walkers

When walking with a group, do not walk ahead of the leader.   He or she

cannot control the pace if irresponsible walkers are forging ahead.   As 

groups are usually made up of varying walking abilities please consider those 

at the back of the party.   Leaders especially, are reminded that they must

set and control the pace of the walk to reflect these differing abilities, and must

not allow the pace to be dictated by a few members of the party who may tend to

force the pace.   Failure to observe these considerations may deter members from fully

enjoying the walks.

For all walks please bring refreshments.   There are normally pubs on route but we cannot guarantee the

availability of food.   If you wish to join at the start of the ramble you should ring the walk leader in the

week prior to the ramble.  When walking with a group, do not walk ahead of the leader.

8th October is an easy 8 miler around Alcester,

led by the indomitable Kingsley, who can be contacted on

Island car park at 9.30am

Saturday 14th October is our Saturday Safari

This is the 3rd leg of St Kenelm's Way, and is about 10 miles

long.  The meeting point is the Crabbs Cross Island car park

at 9am and is to be led by Gay & Glyn who can be contacted

15th October "A" walk takes us from MSP to Feckenham

This 9 mile walk is led by Gay & Glyn who can be contacted on

01527 541715.   The meeting point is Morton Stanley car park at 10am

15th October "B" walk will be a leader's choice, and the meeting

point is to be the Dog cum Harvester restaurant at 

Mappleborough Green at 9.30am.   Peter, the leader can be contacted

22nd October takes us to Shrawley Woods for a 7 mile walk

led by Maggie & Maxine who can be contacted on 01527 873809.  

The meeting point is to be the Artrix car park at 9.30am  

29th October is a trip around Droitwich

This 8 mile walk is led by Dave who can be contacted

on 07973347651.   The meeting point is the  Atrtix Car park at 9.30am

5th November takes us from Tardebigge to Stoke Pound for 

an 8 mile walk led by Geoff & Julie who can be contacted on

07770140094.   The meeting point is St Godwald's Road, Aston

Fields at 9.30am

FRIDAY 10th November is our Annual General Meeting, 

which is to be held at the Rocklands Social Club at 7.30pm

SATURDAY 11th November is our saturday Safari

with the 1st leg of the Heart of Redditch walk.  This 10 mile walk

starts from the Forge Mill Outer car park at 9am and the leaders

12th November is an 8 mile Remembrance Walk

led by Paul & Denise who can be contacted on 01527 450631

The meeting point is the Forge Mill Outer car park at 9.30am

19th November is an 8 miler from Broadway to Chipping Campden,

and the starting point is the Crabbs Cross Island car park at 9.30am

26th November is an 8 miler around Bidford

and led by Steph & Michelle who can be contacted on 01527 450016

The meeting point is the Crabbs Cross Island car park at 9.30 am

3rd December is our Christmas Meal at the Southcrest hotel at 12.30am

for 1pm.   There is a three course meal followed by tea or coffee for £20

SATURDAY 9th December is our Coach trip to

Bristol and the Christmas Markets.   We leave Crabbs Cross Island

car park at 8.00am and the Artrix at 8.15am.   Please contact

17th December Christmas Hats walk 5.5 miles

Meet at Alvechurch railway station at 10am.

                                                Finish at the Weighbridge Public House for a platter of

sandwiches and homemade soup for £3 in the Marquee

TUESDAY 26th December  A Boxing Day morning stroll
